Diana Holdright (KHS 1971-1978) is a consultant cardiologist and has worked for 30 years in the NHS and is now in private practice, supporting 7000 cardiac patients, many of whom are vulnerable and all are in need of reassurance. 

Dr Liz Fox (KHS 1978-1985) is working in Cornwall at Little Harbour Children’s Hospice as well as doing shifts with the GP Out of Hours Service.  Her other medical practice includes Aviation medicals for the Civil Aviation Authority but these are currently suspended during the Covid 19 lockdown.   

Dr Emma Rawson (KHS 1981-1988) is a full time GP partner at St Martin's Gate Surgery in Worcester, a GP trainer in West Midlands Deanery and honorary lecturer at Birmingham University. At present she is working from home but is continuing to see or talk to patients by video link and phone.  She is also supporting her colleagues & registrars through this difficult time. 

Karon Ornadel (née Scharpen-von Heussen) (KHS 1982-1989) is a senior doctor at the Marie Curie Hospice in Hampstead.  She is continuing to look after the patients and relatives on the wards during the pandemic.  They specialise in end of life care, as well as keeping in touch remotely with over 400 outpatients.  This has enabled them to identify and support isolated patients in the community.  They ensure that patients with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses are monitored at a time when much hospital resource is needed for Covid 10 patient care.  

Zuzanna Sawicka (KHS 1990-1997) is Head of Clinical Services for Elderly Medicine at Mid Yorkshire NHS Trust, working at the frontline, looking after Covid 19 patients.  She is also working within the medical directorate, making service changes to keep patients and staff.  Zuzanna is honoured to be putting her clinical and management skills to good use.  ‘Medicine,’ she says ‘is brilliant – even in current times.  It is one of the most rewarding jobs in the world and I would not change it.’ 

Louise Chan (née Hayward) (KHS 1990-1996) is a medical health nurse and Director of THINK, Hauora PHO Primary Mental Health and Addictions in Manawatu, New Zealand.  This primary care service works on the frontline with people who are experiencing mental health problems.  Referrals have increased exponentially due to the current Global Covid 19 pandemic.  She is also currently working as part of the Primary Care Emergency Operations Centre as Logistics Manager within the Incident Management Team.  This team co-ordinates the District response to logistics, clinical operations, reporting, recovery, welfare and planning and intelligence.
