Clare is an Old Girl of both King’s High and Warwick Prep, in addition to being a governor for seventeen years, and a former parent.

Clare has very strong links with the Foundation, local and central government. Previously, Clare chaired the Mental Health Act Committee and the Audit Committee within the South Warwickshire NHS Community Trust. She has been Chairman of Warwick District Council and served as a District Councillor for twelve years representing Budbrooke Ward. Clare also served as High Sheriff of Warwickshire between 2018-19. She was appointed a Deputy Lieutenant of the county in 2019. She has been a magistrate for 34 years, having been appointed when she was only 28, the youngest in Warwickshire, and possibly in the country at that time. She is currently the Chairman of The Coventry and Warwickshire Family Panel, serving the children and their families across the area. Another of her interests is The Warwickshire County Music Trust which distributes funds to support music across the county to talented young people.
