Landor Creative Careers Networking Event
July 2024 saw the whole of the Warwick Schools Foundation participating in a Creative Festival on the subject of 'Home'. The Landor Association held a Creative Careers Networking Afternoon with eleven guest speakers from the Foundation, delivering talks and workshops for King's High students. This followed previous Networking events for Engineering, Medicine and allied professions, and Law.
Many of these speakers were King's High Old Girls, but we also had former parents, Old Warwickians and friends of the school.
Current students could choose two of the following workshops:
Cat Bailey (O.G.) - Creative design agency
Georgina Magowan (O.G.) - Interior designer
Chris McCarthy (O.W.) - Web games developer
Sue Moore (O.G. and Landor Fellow) - Actor turned theatre director and executive business mentor
Emilia Moniszko and Kirk Hastings - Creative digital agency
Michaella Parkes (O.G.) - Head of author and engagement relations at Amazon
Zoe Pearman (O.G.) - Intellectual property lawyer in the world of Fine Art
Lucy Tomlins (O.G.) - Sculptor
Terri Daneshyar (O.G.) - Author of children's and young adult fiction
Bernard Mintz (former parent) - Chef, restauranteur and cookery writer.
After the workshops, the speakers were invited to meet and network with each other over an informal and delicious afternoon tea.
